Smell application

Sunday, September 26, 2010

With the modern day technology, you would think we could invent something so you can smell things on computer screens.  Because if you were able to do that, you'd be instantly hungry and your mouth watering over this:
tonight's dinner.

Lipton Onion Soup Mix (1 package)
1 tbsp olive oil
salt & pepper

I sear the roast with salt and pepper, then place the roast in the crock pot filled with water to almost cover the roast.  Add the onion soup mix and olive oil and set to high for 4 hours.  It comes out so tender and delicious.  Makes wonderful leftover roast beef sandwiches the rest of the week.

    1. It would depend on how large your roast is. Usually for a 3 1/2 to 4 lb chuck roast, 8 hours on low would be perfect.

    2. It's just over 4 lbs. I also saw somewhere else on pinterest that you can cook it frozen... Well this crazy lady forgot to take it out of the freezer so I'll be trying it tonight. Hopefully it turns out good.
