My Twenty Eleven Promises

Saturday, January 1, 2011

Everyone thinks of things they would like to change, resolve or keep the same for the new year on New Year's Day, but today, I'm not making resolutions... I'm making promises to myself.

1.) Keep God first in everyway.

2.) In whatever I'm doing, do it to the best of my ability and be proud of what I have done and become.

3.) Have date night once a week with my love.  (This is a night just for us.  No friends invited, just the two of us growing closer together, talking and making plans for our future.)

4.) Eating lunch at home every week day except for once a week.

5.) Save money for our big vacation later in the year.  (#4 will help achieve this.)

6.) Pick up a new hobby and stick with it.

7.) Try out and blog a recipe every month.

8.) Be there for my family and friends and let them know how much they have blessed my life.

9.) Read at least two books.  (This is doable!)

10.) Will not complain about my life or the things happening in my life because there is always someone out there in worse shape than me.

11.) Continue to love my life because it's mine and love the people in it because they are in my life for a reason.

Happy New Year to you and yours and may you have rich blessings in Twenty Eleven!

  1. I love knowing that we can start fresh! Great idea to make promises instead of resolutions. I can't wait to see your new recipe from the Cheesecake Factory! I hope that 2011 is a great year for you Joy!
