Our newest MSU memorabilia

Saturday, January 1, 2011

I thought I would wait until today, after our BIG win again Michigan to show you part of our Christmas gift from my brother and sister-in-law.  You see, I was brought up a State fan and I have NEVER, EVER cheered for another team!  (Even my high school mascot was a bulldog!)  And I share my love of MSU with my better half, Terry.  We are both die hard State fans and would have been in Jacksonville today but turned down tickets from my brother and sister-in-law.  They aren't coming home until late tomorrow and we didn't want to start off the new year at work dragging (like we won't be already).  And about five days ago, we started kicking ourselves for not taking the tickets and being there to cheer on our beloved team.

We are true Mississippi State fans.  We cheered them on during their losing seasons and we have cheered them on during their winning seasons.  Never will you hear me cheering on any other team... my loyalty is to my dawgs!

Knowing our love for State, my brother and sister-in-law gave us a personalized signed football from Coach Dan Mullen and a Mississippi State football history book.  The book has replica tickets from waaaay back in the day and gives the history of how our Bulldog team came to be... from an A & M team to what we are today.  We LOVE both of the gifts.  I don't have a picture of the book but here is the picture of us with our "treasure" on Christmas Eve night.  (And thanks to our Christmas sickness, the only thing looking decent is the "treasure.")

Sorry for the low res pic... the sister-in-law took it with her phone camera.
Today, while watching the bulldawgs dominate the game, we had our "treasure" on hand along with our cowbells.  We both agree on this... our children will NOT play with this football, ever.

So proud of our dawgs today and can't wait for the 2011 football season.  We will be there with our "bells" on!!!  Go State, GO STATE!!
