My day started like any other day. Replying to emails, making appointments with advertisers, picking up prom dresses and shoes... Well, ok, the last two doesn't happen every day, but it did today.
As I mentioned last week, I have been getting our Prom Guide ready for print (which you can find in our April/May issue of 393 Magazine) and today was the last day of the photo shoot with dresses and accessories from Dillards. I love my job and this is one reason why — I get to pick out shoes for our photo shoots, like these...

Vince Camuto in Patent Leather Red (4.5 inch heel) $89 |

BCBG in Snake Skin with a zip up heel (5 inch heel) $110 |
You know the saying, "before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes." Well, I tried on all of these shoes and while they were cute and looked great on my feet... I can promise you this, I will NOT be walking a mile in these shoes. They are captivating, stylish and would make any going out outfit complete, but my poor feet will wouldn't last 15 minutes in them. Thank you plantar fasciitis!
If your ready for Spring and love shoes, stop in at Dillards and check out their HUGE selection of Spring/Summer shoes. I've already got my eye on a few!
Ya know, I generally wear cowboy boots, and they're both stylish and functional...
ReplyDeleteJoseph, if I could get away with wearing mine everyday, I would. They are all I wear on the weekends when I'm not staying indoors! And the best part, I've had them for 3 years and I know they have another 3 more years left in them. Can't say the same for all the heels I own.
ReplyDeleteHeh, I can beat that: I used to wear an old pair of Daddy's that are now 26 years old, and on their fourth set of soles. Good cowboy boots will last forever. I'm thinking about getting my next suit cut to where I can wear boots with it, as well.
ReplyDeleteOf course, it's got to the point that the boots are just expected of me. I showed up at a black tie event in my black oxfords, and one of the interns said "what, no cowboy boots? I'm shocked."
