Meridian Heart Ball 2011

Saturday, April 2, 2011

Last night was the first annual Meridian Heart Ball.  And if you were not there — well, you missed out!

The food, the band, the stories — it was all so much fun.

Pretty Presentations did the catering at the MSU-Riley Center and Smiley and Young Guns had everyone's feet tapping.

Terry and I had a ball!!

The guests enjoyed a silent auction before the ceremony began and Terry and I came home with these gift baskets from the auction.

I won the bid on the hair care basket with two gift certificates to ReNew Salon and Spa.  Terry and I played an April Fools Day prank on LB.  She had her heart set on a pillow and a service from Meridian Plastic Surgery and while she was emceeing the ceremony, she asked us to keep an eye on her bids.  So, Terry knew he wanted the gift basket above on the right so he put her number down for the win.  It took her about an hour to figure out she had the winning big for the deer stuff and the BBQ gift certificate, but once she did... we had the last laugh.  And yes, Terry ended up paying for that winning bid.  =)

After settling up with our winning bids and mingling with the other guests, it was time to head out.  And we came home with all of these...

Aren't they gorgeous?!!?  I'm a SUCKER for red roses and I got to come home with all these beauties.  The arrangements are by World of Flowers (my florist of choice) and now the house is full of these beautiful red rose floral arrangements.  I especially love the bottom row of rose topiary's.

I love looking around the house seeing these arrangements.  Terry said it looks like we have a rose garden in full bloom.

After leaving the ball, we went to Weidmann's with LB and her friend from Jackson to enjoy the rest of the evening.  Getting home after midnight is not normal for us, but I'm pretty sure we all had a great time.  Can't wait for next year's ball!!!

Enjoy this beautiful Saturday, y'all!
