Getting things done...

Monday, August 15, 2011

This weekend was jammed packed full of everything.  Saturday morning, Terry had to go back into the office to do a few things and I headed to town to get grocery and other items at (gasp) Walmart!  Yeah, I know — I try not to go in that place because it seems to ALWAYS seems to be full of drama.  Kids screaming, parents ignoring them, extra long lines at the checkout and the cashier is always complaining about how she is ready for her lunch break or something along those lines and that's just a few of the things I can't stand about that place.  However, I had to get some items that Winn Dixie doesn't sell, so it was necessary.  Surprisingly, I made it out of there in less than an hour and alive.

Terry and I had lunch plans at his parent's house Saturday before heading back to move more furniture.  Yes, this is a task, but at least we are making progress.  Sunday, we did more of the moving and rearranging before settling in for dinner and resting.

We did manage to watch a couple of movies this weekend.  I will recommend The A-Team even though I didn't want to watch it — I ended up enjoying it.  We also watched You Again and it was cute, but I probably won't watch it again.

BTW — if you love mashed potatoes like we do, I will suggest adding sauteed mushroom's on top of them.  Yum, Yum, YUM!!  I'll try to post the recipe sometime this week.

So far this morning, I've been up since 3:58, cooked breakfast, got ready and made it to work by 6 and have accomplished a good bit here in the office.  I know without a doubt that me and the bed will become one before 9 o'clock tonight.

Hope y'all had a great weekend and wonderful Monday!!  It will be over before we know it!!

  1. ya i liked both of those movies. there aren't a lot of movies i would watch twice. if you haven't seen it already you should see crazy, stupid love. I thought it was really funny. there's sexual humor but it's not over the top and just nasty like a lot of movies are now a days.

  4. Ha! Ha! Glad you made it out of Walmart alive! I despise it as well, but when I go, I am easily distracted! I'm impressed at 3:58! That is when I roll over and say I have another hour! I am just know catching up on blogs from about a week ago. Busy, busy is my name right now. I love the Joy sign with the little flowers on it! What a fun post! Also, I love most of Fannie Flagg's books starting with Fried Green Tomatoes and Welcome to the World Baby Girl! I must read these once a year. It is good for the soul! Hope you are having a great week! Love on Marleigh Belle for me!
