Birmingham Botanical Gardens

Monday, April 2, 2012

This past weekend, after we had our fun lunch at Flip Burger, we took a little adventure to the Birmingham Botanical Gardens. Here's the best part... it's free. That's right, who can say no to free?! So in we go with my camera in hand. I've been wanting to shoot in manual mode on the camera, and this was the perfect opportunity with all the beautiful colors, shading and sunlight.

Enjoy this glimpse of Birmingham Botanical Gardens in the springtime. Not only were the gardens beautiful and smelt delicious, we got to enjoy quite a few little critters, too!

These photos were taken in less than one-third of the gardens. We will definitely be going back to view the rest of them. It's a great place to sit and read, have a picnic, and the grounds have endless opportunities  for amazing photographs. We saw lots of photographers taking their Easter sessions of children. If you haven't been, now through the first part of May is the perfect time to see all the flowers in perfect bloom.
