Let the renovations begin...

Today was the big day, the day the renos started at the new house. And before the new stuff can go in, the old stuff had to come out. So today they demoed the master bathroom. But before I get to those pictures, take a look at our master bath before pic...

 
It has great "bones" but is/was very much out of date. It has what we call the "gold package" and not everything was working properly. It came with his and hers walk in closets, a linen closet, a deep walk in shower, a double vanity with lots of drawers, a jacuzzi tub, a toilet (of course) and out of date lighting.

Today, it all got ripped out. All except the closets and the cabinets.

Everything became surreal today seeing the tub, toilet, and sinks in the dumpster. Then walking in the house with all the floors covered in plastic and drop cloths, and walking in the master bedroom to see the trash bins with the old, broken tiles, etc... yeah, it becomes crazy surreal. This is really happening, yes, this is really happening before our eyes, and in just a few short weeks the plan we've made for this room will be complete and ready for us to utilize!

Tomorrow they have plans to tear out the kitchen (my, soon to be, favorite room in the house) and once it's completely torn out... I'll give you a glimpse at the before picture and the look after the tear out.

Can you tell I'm excited? We've waited so long to find our home here, and by the end of this month, we will finally be living in it!
