Saying goodbye to the outdated kitchen...

I know I promised y'all this post at the beginning of the week, but hey, this chick has been B.U.S.Y. Not only have they (the construction guys) been working everyday, including last Saturday, they are almost, ALMOST ready to start putting in our new stuff.

But until that happens in a few days... enjoy this view of the outdated kitchen...

And, then the sledge hammers got to work!!

The countertops are off the island...

And then the fun begins... removing that backsplash!

All of this was before we left on Saturday afternoon... the Mr checking out the demo.

And now, the progress from Saturday to Wednesday. (Of course, they spent all day today working on our back deck. More about the deck, later...)
 

Making good progress... the island is gone, but will return later. 

Still have a few more tiles to rip up... but all that backsplash is gone!!!

And remember when I was talking about our deck... well we might be called the rednecks of our street because of this...

Yep, we have a toilet sitting on our deck. Don't worry, it won't be there long. We wanted it chunked, but the workers said it was in perfect condition and wanted to keep it for themselves. Hey guys, knock yourselves out! Fortunately, it can't be seen from the road, and it's blocked by the trees for neighbors views.

It's hard to believe this project will be complete by the end of the month. But, it will be! And we are counting down the days! =)
