Moving and unpacking...

Sunday, September 2, 2012

One week ago last Friday, we were finishing our packing for the movers to move us Saturday morning.

The apartment was full of boxes, overstuffed bins and laundry baskets overflowing with last minute stuff we couldn't pack until that morning.

Bright and early last Saturday morning, Motivated Movers arrived (and I'm sure they had just finished off a six pack of red bull each) ready and motivated.

I left to head to the new house to get something ready for the movers, but the Mr stayed behind and said they were literally running back and forth loading us up.

Once they arrived at our new house, the running didn't stop. They were done with packing us up, moving us to the new house, and unpacking us there in less than 3 hours. It was all a little overwhelming. Of course, there was one minor accident... one of my dining room chairs was broken in the move, but they are replacing it, so it's all good.

We officially met our new neighbors to the right of us that afternoon, too. Vicky and Mike are from Meridian, and are the sweetest. She baked us homemade chocolate chip cookies and offered to make us lunch.

She asked if we are planning to have babies. LOL We told her in the future... and she said she couldn't wait to help raise them. =) Guess our parents will have to fight off our new neighbor whenever we do have a baby. ;)

Sorry this week hasn't had any updates, but if you have moved and/or remodeled, you understand where all of our time has gone. We are still unpacking boxes and in the mix of all of it — I had my second oral surgery Thursday. Thankfully my parents and MB were here to help the Mr with me and unpacking. I don't remember much about Thursday or Friday, but yesterday I unpacked a few things with supervision of the hubs.

I promise to give more updates of the house and the progress this week. I'm still not 100% — but all of these boxes have to go!!!

Hope y'all are having a wonderful Labor Day weekend!!
