What I'm Cooking... Sausage Biscuit Bites

Saturday, September 15, 2012

Breakfast everyday would be great, right? However, most of us don't have the time to cook up a fabulous meal and clean up the kitchen before work everyday. So that means breakfast on the weekends are a must. And I'm always game to try out a new recipe, especially when that recipe only has three ingredients!!

Yesterday while I was browsing blogland... I ran across one of my favorite blogs... Plain Chicken. Stephanie had a quick and easy recipe on her blog and we tried it out this morning. It was SOOOO good and a hit with our guest.

What you'll need:

3 (5 count) cans of flaky biscuits
1 lb of Tennessee Pride sausage
2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese

Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.

Mix uncooked sausage and cheese until blended. Shape into balls of equal size.

Remove biscuits from cans and separate each biscuit into two layers, making 40 biscuit layers. Press one layer of biscuit into a cup of a lightly greased mini-cupcake pan. Repeat with the remaining layers.

Place sausage balls in each biscuit cup. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until biscuits are browned and sausage balls are bubbly.

They were so easy to make and very yummy. Hit the spot on this beautiful Saturday morning.

Thanks again Stephanie for another wonderful recipe! If you don't already follow Plain Chicken... click "here" and do so. You will not regret it!

Hope y'all are having a wonderful weekend. Oh and GO DAWGS!!!
