What I'm Baking... M & M Cookies

Tuesday, October 16, 2012

If you follow me on instagram, you probably know what I was up on on Saturday afternoon. But in case you missed it... the Mr and I had a little fun in the kitchen with this....

That's right. We got this beautiful kitchen appliance back in February at the bridal shower from our Huntsville family members! And a few weekends ago, we finally bought it to our new home here in Alabama from my parents house. And Saturday, it was put to good use!

M&M Cookies...

What you'll need...

1 cup of shortening
1 cup of brown sugar (packed)
1/2 cup of sugar
2 teaspoons of pure vanilla extract
2 large eggs
2 1/4 cups of sifted all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon of salt
1 3/4 cup of M&Ms

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Preheat your oven to 375.

Blend shortening and sugars in mixing bowl.
Beat in eggs and vanilla.
Sift dry ingredients together.
Add dry ingredients to sugar/egg mixture and blend well.

Fold in the M&Ms
And then spoon onto the lined baking dish...

Bake for 10 to 15 minutes
Then let them cool and ENJOY!

They are chewy and mouth wateringly delicious! If you try them, let me know... they were easy to make and made quite a few. =)
