What I'm Baking... Rice Crispy Candy Corn Treats

Friday, November 2, 2012

While I didn't think there was anyone out there who would didn't love candy corn... I have recently discovered there are a few who do not. So... if this is you... this post probably isn't for you. =) Now back to candy corn loving folks like me.

Candy Corn is what I think of when I dream of fall. Maybe the colors remind me of the colors of the leaves when they change... or maybe it's because they are just so good, and are only around for a few short months a year. And if you are like the Mr and I... we buy the BIG bags of candy corn. Seriously, the BIG bag from Sams y'all! Now what to do with all that candy corn?

What you'll need:

4 tablesppons of butter
1 (10 ounce) bag of marshmallows
1/4 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of Vanilla
6 cups of Kellogg's Rice Krispies
1 cup of candy corn

Spray at 13x9 glass baking dish and rubber spatula with non stick spray.

In a medium sauce pan over low heat, add butter to melt. Once melted add marshallows, salt, and vanilla. Stir continuously until the marshamllows have reached a smooth consistency. Remove from the heat and fold in the cereal and candy corns until completely coated.

Add the mixture to the greased baking dish and smooth out evenly. Allow to cool before cutting into squares.

They are delicious!! Enjoy y'all!!
