Smile every chance you get. Not because life has been easy, perfect, or exactly as you had anticipated, but because you choose to be happy & grateful for all the good things you do have & all the problems you know you don’t have. #lifelessons
In my New Year, New Goal post... I mentioned that it's important to be thankful everyday in every way. And I'm thankful Ryan believes this, too, and encourages us to post about our thankfulness on Thursdays.
{I'm thankful} our Heavenly Father knows best in any and everything. I miss our sweet angel baby everyday, and it has taken me weeks to be able to say this, but I know God had better plans for that baby. I never got mad at Him for taking our baby, because He always knows best, even if our minds and hearts don't understand why. I will say I'm still sad, and miss knowing that this summer our lives would have been forevermore changed. But I would never want any baby or child to suffer, and I fully believe that is why we don't have our sweet little one anymore. I prayed everyday for a healthy and happy baby, and I truly believe He knew that maybe this little one might not have been able to make it on his or her own or could have had health problems that couldn't be healed. We would have loved our little one no matter what, and we still do, even though he or she isn't here with us anymore. We continue to put our trust in Him and thank Him for decisions that are beyond our control.
{I'm thankful} we are able pray for our future baby. We don't know when that time will come when God will bless us with another pregnancy, but I pray everyday for our future baby's life. Thankfully He already knows the number of hairs on his or her head, what foods he or she will love, and what he or she will be when they grow up. It makes my heart smile knowing that we don't need to worry about anything because our book has already been written by the greatest author, ever. And I pray that our book has a new chapter where our little family of two becomes a family of three (or more) to share our love with.
{I'm thankful} for stash of snacks in one of my desk drawers at work. Okay, laugh all you want, but without this yummy peanut butter cracker goodness, I might fall out. Seriously. You see, I like to sleep. And sleep
{I'm thankful} the flu and stomach bug has steered clear of us.
Two reasons:
1) We don't like to be sick. Who does, right?
2) We would have to have someone come take care of us, because let's face it... we don't do sick well.
So thank you again Ryan for helping us remember to post our thankfulness every Thursday.
What are you most thankful for this week? I'd love to read it!

ReplyDeleteWe must remember to be thankful everyday! I think the journal you sent me is going to really help! It will be a way I can write my prayers and what I am thankful for!
Those crackers are my favorite! I haven't had any in a while! Now I am wanting a pack right now!
Oh and we don't do sick well either! I cry for my momma when I am sick! At 28 years old!
Happy Thursday!
Love, love, love this!
ReplyDeleteWell I am glad I am not the only person who will squeeze in as much sleep as possible! I am not a morning person at all! I would always eat breakfast when I got to work, even though it was like 2-3 hours after I got up! I am thankful for auto on Keurig machines!
