With me always...

Thursday, January 3, 2013

I came home yesterday to one of the sweetest, most thoughtful gifts. When I opened the package, I had no idea what I would find inside. And honestly, I wasn't prepared for the emotions that would follow after it was opened.

This beautiful bracelet was sent to me from Darby in Texas. And the note that came with it read...
"I had this made for you the day I found out about the loss of your precious baby. The alternating colored pearls are the June pearl, for the month that you would have met your baby. Until you do though. I hope you can carry this bracelet close to you."
She also included a passage from the bible... Numbers 6: 24-26.
"The Lord bless thee, and keep thee. The Lord make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee. The Lord lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace."

I cried. To some this might be just a bracelet. However this gift, is something that I will always love, because this bracelet is a little piece of my angel baby that I can have with me always.

This angel wing reminds me that our baby is safe in the arms of God, and that we will met our baby face to face in Heaven when our time here on Earth is no more.

To tell you what an amazing friend Darby is:  On November 30th when we found out the fate of our little one, I couldn't get my mom on the phone due to cell phone coverage. The first person I thought to text was Darby. No we've never met in person, nor had we ever spoken on the phone, but later on that evening... we did. She's been a constant encourager, prayer warrior and most importantly, a true friend. And I whole heartedly believe that God put her in my life.

Darby, thank you for this precious gift. It was very unexpected, and it will be worn always. Thank you for thinking of me, and our little angel baby.
