Need a weekend after our weekend

The more you are in a state of gratitude, the more you will attract things to be grateful for. #lifelessons

{Friday} I stayed at home because I was in a good bit of pain from the extra long root canal I had experienced the day before. Of course, even though I planned to rest to deal with the pain, I ended up doing laundry, packing for our weekend in Mississippi, and cleaned — yeah, that's how I dealt with the pain... doing so much I didn't think about it. And, since I was off, we left out early to head to Mississippi and made an appointment with our chiropractor there to get adjusted. We both felt so much better after getting "cracked".

We stayed with the Mr's parents this visit, and Friday night his mom order Outback take out for dinner.

Y'all we love us some Outback Aussie Cheese Fries!

That evening, we headed to bed and watched...

And now I'm trying to convince the Mr that we really need a penguin. Ha!

{Saturday} morning we got up early to head to see our youngest niece, Emma, play in her upward basketball game. (I'll have more on this in a separate post this week.)

For lunch, we celebrated Abby's upcoming birthday with lunch and Gigi's Cupcakes!! (And yes, there will be a separate post on this, too. Ha!)

After we left Abby's we stopped in to have a quick visit with Angie D! And we love us some Angie D!  Our visits are never long enough, but I always feel much better after an Angie talk!

And next up, was dinner at my parent's house where we got to love on Mar Belle!

And we never come empty handed to see our Mar Belle! She loved her Valentine's Day gift!

Mom and dad gave Terry some new pants for Valentine's Day, and gave me a new necklace. When I went to take a picture of it... she decided that was the time to give me sugars!

We had a big home cooked meal... New York strip steaks, baked potatoes, baked beans, and salad, and mom made our favorite.... husbands delight!

After dinner, the Mr and MB had a serious talk about belly rubs...

And before we headed back to Terry's parents house, MB decided it was nite nite time...

{Sunday} morning we got up and got ready to head to Olive Garden to celebrate Emma and Cathy's birthdays.

When we left the restaurant, we came back to their house to celebrate their days with cake and presents

Time flies when you're having fun, and all good things must come to an end. We said our goodbyes and headed out in a monsoon to drive back home.

It was an intense drive back that took almost double the time it normally takes, but we made it home safely.

Once we unloaded the Acadia, we got everything unpacked, laundered and ready for another work week. But honestly, I'm pretty sure we just need another weekend! =)

Did y'all have a good weekend? Ours was jammed packed, but enjoyed and needed!!

  1. All that food looks amazing! I had my wisdom teeth pulled Friday, and am super jealous of the yummy deliciousness that is displayed on your page. All I have eaten is ice cream and applesauce all weekend! As soon as I can chew, I may need to find my way to the nearest Outback and chow down on some of those fries!!

Good luck with your penguin. I once tried to convince the Hubs that I needed a mini potbellied pig. I didn't win. :(
