the Sowell life's Friday five...
1) {Work Overload} I was off last Friday which meant a long, catch up day on Monday. I literally didn't stop to even look up at the clock until 12:45, and then I was starving. Thankfully, the Mr was kind enough to drop me off some lunch so I didn't fall out from starvation. I love the Wendy's chicken caesar salad (with ranch dressing of course)!
2) {11 months} Tuesday, the Mr and I celebrated 11 months of wedding bliss! That's right y'all, in less than a month we will be married a year! #wow Somedays it seems like we just got hitched, and then when I sit back and think about what all we've been through this year, it seems like 3 or 4 years in one. But I wouldn't want to (nor could I) go through any of this past year with anyone else. I'm so blessed and grateful to share my life with the one God made for me.
3 {Sickly} I've been sick most of the week. Okay, all week long. It started with a really sore throat on Monday morning, and then throughout the week it has gotten worse. Not sure if it's a sinus thing or a cold, but I'm so ready for it to go away. My dentist ordered me a steroid dose pack on Monday and he said it would take care of getting my tooth healed from the root canal, and help with my sickness. Well, it's helped with my tooth (almost can chew food on that side of my mouth again) and has helped my throat some, but my head is still all stopped up! The Mr and my parents can vouch for this... but I'm really not a good sickly patient. I'm pretty sure he is ready for this to be over with soon, so I don't keep him up all night coughing.
4) {Cooking vs Take Out} Since the root canal last Thursday, and with me not feeling well... take out has been a life saver for dinner. I did manage to cook some homemade spaghetti Wednesday night but all the nights before, we had take out.
5) {Valentine's Day} I love, LOVE. It doesn't matter what your relationship status is, everyone is LOVED! This was our first VDay as husband and wife, and I enjoyed waking up next to my man, seeing him throughout the day, and falling asleep next to him that night. It was just like any other day, but we showed each other a little extra love with cards and happies! And the Mr cooked me a wonderful meal — steak, baked potato, and salad! And y'all, I'm so impressed with my VDay gift! And I can't wait to enjoy those massages!!
Well, that's the Sowell life's #theFridayfive... ready to link up?! I can't wait to see what y'all are posting today!
Happy Weekend y'all!!
I'm sorry you've been sick! I was exhausted all week. I was so glad I did most of our food prep over the weekend so dinner wasn't an added blah to the day.
