Our March Blate

Saturday, March 9, 2013

This Blate was a little smaller than last month, but when you have a wide variety of ages, and mix that with Spring Break... I thought we had a good group to come for our blate. We even had a new blogger join us! Welcome, Kaitlyn!

I volunteered to host this month, and enjoyed getting things together for today. Thankfully, I have the best husband in the world, because he helped me shop for their happies, did all the grocery shopping, helped me clean, and grilled our chicken for the salad! Thanks again honey!!

Once the girls arrived, we fixed our plates, and dug in to all the yummies. I prepared grilled chicken salad with the fixings, red velvet whoopie pies (I'll blog on that later), and had a spicy dip with pita chips. The girls brought spinach dip, some yummy and spicy cream cheese crescents, and cake batter dip! And Clara brought each of us a DIY project that she had just completed... DIY Emi Jay hair ties!

I love that when we all sit down, it's like we have known each other for years! The conversations start flowing, and so does the laughter. It's amazing what you'll learn about each other in just a matter of minutes, and how bonds are formed for a lifetime!

After lunch, we moved our conversations to the living room while we enjoyed whoopie pies and cake batter dip! Man y'all, I had heard about that dip before, but never tried it. And it's SOOOO good!

And since St Patrick's Day is coming up... I had the girls show y'all some shamrock love! =)

Ladies, I loved having y'all over and enjoyed all the food and conversations. Can't wait til next month. And to the ones we missed today — y'all really were missed, and we can't wait to see y'all again, soon!
