{Friday} we started happy hour a little early at work. When the boss man is in town, he calls the shots, and he told us to go have fun. And fun is what we had. We laughed and had fun til almost 5:45. And seriously, who do y'all know that wants to stay at work after 5 on a Friday?! Yep, that's how much fun we were having!
I picked up dinner on the way home because we had some work to do. I had company coming over, and we needed to get to work getting the house ready.
{Saturday} morning there was no alarm clock. It was heaven. And, I slept from 10 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. straight. This is something that never happens for me. We're talking I didn't even move. It was needed, apparently. However, once I was up. it was time to get busy cooking. I made red velvet whoopie pies for the dessert at our blate that afternoon. (I'll have the recipe on the blog later this week!) But they were so easy to make, and were a hit!
The girls arrived about 1 p.m. and we had so much fun for the next 3 1/2 hours! You can read more about our March Blate by clicking here.
After the girls left, I was busy cleaning up the kitchen, and then it hit me how tired I was. The Mr cooked dinner — filet mignon and baked potatoes. It was delicious! And, of course he took care of cleaning up the kitchen, too. Me, I retreated to our master bath and ran myself a hot bath. It was nice to relax and soak away the day. Is it bad that I don't remember anything we watched on TV that night?! Cause I don't! Ha!
{Sunday} morning I woke up and realized that I had slept through the night, again! Awesomeness! And I completely forgot about the time change. But thankfully our clocks are atomic clocks and they reset themselves. #crisisaverted
I made us some yummy cinnamon rolls before we got our day started.
No weekend at home is complete without a trip to Lowe's. And it doesn't help that it's just a couple of miles away, either. We are trying to get our back porch finished before the end of Spring, and we keep coming up with more things we need. Thankfully this isn't a big project like the remodeling of the kitchen and master bath, except this time we are tackling it ourselves.
We ended our shopping excursion with a trip to Walmart #ugh, and then Dairy Queen #yay!
Our weekend wrapped up back out on the porch grilling and dining outside. Of course, no Sunday evening is complete without RHOA and Kourtney and Kim Take Miami. #yesirealizewewatchwaytoomuchrealitytv
