Oh, and I'll have a full recap of our anniversary celebration on the blog next week — cause we're still celebrating, y'all!!

the Sowell life's Friday five...
2) {You've Got Mail} We started getting cards from friends and family last Friday. Darby was the first one to send us a card with a sweet note, and Monday we started getting them from others. We love them all, and are so thankful so many love us to send us congrats!
3) {Tanned Up} I have a confession. I'm white. Well, that's obvious, but I'm talking pasty white! This white girl needed a tan. Back in my younger days (this includes last year, too — ha!) I would go to the tanning bed almost every day. But in the spring/summer I would just lay out. Well, since I started working again last June, I've really not been able to lay out. And since I've written off tanning beds, for reasons we all knew about but did it anyway, I needed to find an alternative until the pool opens.
I've had two spray tans in my lifetime. One went horribly wrong which included me getting sprayed twice on my front side (they showed me the wrong video for the booth I was getting in) and none on my back side. Which meant I had to get back in and get it twice on my back side, then wait four hours and go home and scrub so I didn't look like an oompa loompa. Not even kidding. Anyway, and my second time was at a Versa Spa booth, and I LOVED it. Well, I finally found a place here that has Versa Spa and got my spray tan on yesterday! YAY! No more pasty white for me, and it wasn't harmful to me — even better!
***BTW, if you have Palm Beach Tan near you, and you have never been before, they are offering a regular Versa Spa spray tan for $10! Yep, you heard right, I used my coupon (see below) that I got offline for my visit!***
4) {Cooking Up Something Good} I felt like I hadn't cooked in forever. Or let me rephrase that — I felt like I hadn't cooked up a big meal in forever. You know, one that wasn't a one dish kinda meal. And Wednesday night, we took advantage of the beautiful weather to grill. And while the Mr was grilling, I was cooking up something good in the kitchen! After the meal was over, he kept commenting on how good everything was. I'll take that as my cue that I need to start cooking more, and by cooking more, I mean cooking more than one dish! Ha! (Yes, we had Mac Cheese from the box, don't hate!)
5) {Date Night} Our one year wedding anniversary was Tuesday, and while we are still celebrating throughout the weekend, we did go out for dinner that evening, and it was also our date night for the week! Check out these sweet love birds!
Well, that's the Sowell life's #theFridayfive... ready to link up?! I can't wait to see what y'all are posting today!

I would love to start blogging. Let me know how the books are. I too need some sort of sunlight, I'm starting to glow. May try the spray tan. Tanning beds just aren't healthy. Congrats again you two. Hope you are having an awesome trip. Can't wait for updates.
