4 years later....

Where did the time go? Oh, I know — I've been living and enjoying every minute of these past four years. Because four years ago today... I met the man I would later marry, for the first time, face to face.

We were set up on a blind date by a co-worker of mine who use to be his next door neighbor. Before our first date, which was our first time to actually meet, we talked on the phone and would text each other throughout the day. This went on for a week until May 20, 2009 when I had my last first date. I'm pretty sure saying yes to that date was the best decision I've ever made.

I wouldn't be who I am today without the man I now call my husband. He made me the happiest women on the plant on March 12, 2012 when I became his Mrs.

Of course, he's not just my better half... he's also my best friend. We know everything about each other, and nothing is forced — it just comes natural for us. However, he swears that before he met me that he loved sleeping with it 70 degrees at night, and now he freeze when I turn it down to 68. And, he really dislikes it when I use his hand towel in our bathroom. But that's what makes us, us. We're your typical couple that disagrees on occasion. However, we rise above the "normal couple" because we actually enjoy spending time together. We value our time together, our conversation and our life that we've created.

Today I'm thankful for that day four years ago when he knocked on my door. I'm thankful for that look he gave me when he looked up as I answer the door. And I thank the Lord above that He brought us together four years ago. I never really knew what true love was before I met him. And I'm so thankful I get to live my happily ever after, every day for the rest of my life.
