the Sowell life's Friday five...
1) {Steak Social} Well, Monday was a long, but a good day. We enjoyed an evening with the sales reps after work at the office with steaks, baked potatoes, baked beans, salads, rolls, and of course my brownie trifle. If you want to see the entire recap of the night, you can view Tuesday's post.
2) {New Candles} I love a good smelling house. That means, I love a clean house. However, I do like to have a candle burning when I'm home on the weekends to add to the loveliness. This week we had Cracker Barrel take out (big shocker) and I saw they had a sale on Yankee Candles. All the scents in our house are fall and Christmas scents, still... SO I branched out and got two new summer/beach candles. I can't wait to light them up this weekend and have the beach right inside our home. Oh, and just in case you are wondering... we leave for the beach in 3 weeks. Holy Moly... I need to start packing! And please forgive my crappy pictures... I was in a rush getting out the door yesterday when I took them!
3) {Alabama Women Bloggers} This might be my favorite topic of the week! I'm so blessed to be playing a huge part in this wonderful community for women bloggers to gather, grown and connect! And if you are an #alwomenblogger, you need to head over to AlabamaWomenBloggers to join our community. It's free, it's uplifting, and it's going to be a lot of fun!

5) {Flip Flop Season} Honestly I wear flip flops year round, but I'm thinking I need some new yellow box shoes for the summer. I'm sure I've mentioned this quite a few times, but when I buy shoes... I really get my money's worth out of them. And yesterday I got the new Belk sales catalog in the mail, now which ones should I chose?
Now, who's ready to link up?!! Thanks for stopping by, linking up, sharing the link up on your blog and on twitter! I appreciate y'all spreading the word more than you'll ever know!!
HAPPY FRIDAY!!! Be sure to check out the Foodie Friday contributor on the AlabamaWomenBloggers website!

Big hugs to you Joy!
ReplyDeleteI love my Yankee candles.
If you like candles...totally need to look into the Scentsy. I love that I can change out scents in a flash - and it's pretty! :)
ReplyDeleteI love you. Big hugs from Texas. Oh and as for the flip flops..the polka dots are pretty fabulous!
I'll have to check out Black Coconut, that sounds super yummy! Sorry you did not get the results you wanted this month, but I have faith that it will happen soon. You are going to be a great Mom when it does. Have a great weekend girl!
ReplyDeleteI saw that candle in the Yankee Candle store the other day and almost bought it!
ReplyDeleteI love playing cornhole! I have to get some boards for the next time we have friends over!
ReplyDeleteHey just joined the Alabama Women's Blogger group you mentioned in your post which is how I found you! And you sold me on the Black Coconut candle. I love all things Coconut except eating actual coconut! Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteWhat a delicious life you hve :)
ReplyDeleteI love candles too! Recently switched out to all my springy floral scents... Sigh....
I'm praying for you, as always. Sounds like you've received some peace recently. You're so blessed by your faith and your supportive husband.
I'm so sorry you had a negative result again! I'll be praying for you guys. I'm so glad the Lord has given you some peace.
ReplyDeleteHey friend! :) I commented on the girl who is doing the Mississippi women blogger network and I haven't heard back yet and I wasn't able to find an e-mail address on her blog which is why I just commented... could you possible get me in touch with her, because you know I'd love to be a part of that if I can!
ReplyDeleteOn another note: Your sales rep party looked like so much fun! :) I'm sorry to hear about your negative test, but I believe that it will definitely come at the perfect time, I'll be praying for your patience during this time! And girl, I love me some flipflops too! So excited about summer! Hate that I missed seeing y'all over the weekend, but I'm sure a weekend will come around that I can make it again! I'm thinking about doing my own meet up in Tupelo sometime this summer for some Mississippi bloggers that I know, and of course, y'all will be welcome! :)
Ugh those "not pregnant" words sting so much, don't they!! We're still praying for peace until you get a different response on those annoying, yet necessary, pee sticks!
