The water was beautiful for the first 4 days, but the final 4 days there were storms out at sea and it brought a lot of seaweed with it. It also brought HUGE waves. But that didn't bother us because we are pool people anyway. That's where we spent the majority of our time. However, we did take a few walks on the beach. We had gorgeous weather every day until Saturday. Which that was fine by us, because we were pulling out to head home that day anyway.
We went out to eat every night, and some days for lunch, too. I'll have a full recap of all the Gulf Coasts Eats tomorrow. But of course we had to take selfies at dinner...
We took advantage of the Memorial Day sales at the outlet mall. We both came away with some great finds!
We also had fun checking out all the deep sea fishing boats, and seeing the pelicans waiting for scraps. We went in search for the perfect seashells, and even checked out new construction condos!
The night before we left, we took beach pictures (I'll show all of them to y'all on Wednesday) and went to Pensacola to watch the dog races. A first for me!
The vacation, even though it was 8 days, it seemed short and sweet. Once we said bye to the Mr's parents and parted ways with the beach, we stopped by Burris Farmers Market to pick up some fresh veggies for home. We love that place!!
It was the great way to kick off our Summer of 2013! We can't wait to go back to the beach soon!
Fun weekend (although dog races make me a little sad, because some dogs are dumped in shelters when they can't race anymore. :()!

Fabulous vacation! I am a beach person all the way, MFD likes to do the beach and then go to the pool.
