It all started Friday night with dinner at Jim N Nicks with family. After skipping lunch, we were all pretty much starving. And sometimes you just can't beat a good meal from our favorite BBQ place.
We all enjoy our dinner... a pulled pork plate with coleslaw and loaded mashed potatoes, hickory grilled chicken breasts with fries and a salad, an order of fried chicken strips with mac the cheese (yes that what it's called on the menu) and baked beans, and a baked potato, loaded, including beef brisket. We all left happy and full as a tick.
Saturday morning the Mr got up early, I'm talking leave me in the bead early. He had a skeet lesson that morning, so he got up early to get ready and head to the farm. I had an appointment with my hair stylist. A much needed appointment, and I was happy to get there and have her work her magic. Which she did... three inches gone, and no more gray. #praisetheLord
Summers are made for grilling. Well, any day of the year is a good day for grilling with us, but especially during the summer! We had some sweet friends and their adorable little angels over for a cookout. Nothing melts my heart more than seeing kids faces light up when they see food they want to eat, and hearing the sounds of laughter from all ages in our home makes me grin from ear to ear. Needless to say the evening was a blast.
Sunday was full of sun, rain, sun, rain, and it just kept repeating itself. Not much you can do with all of that dreariness, so the Mr and I watched some movies and caught up with some shows that we missed during the week. And we thanked the good Lord above for the sweet rain. All the plants we recently planted were replenished with moisture to continue to blossom another day.
So thankful for the joys of another wonderful weekend...

That's definitely one restaurant I miss! I love their cream spinach. Glad to see you had a great weekend!
