Mayonnaise — what brand do you use? We use Blue Plate (cause that's what I grew up watching mom buy). But did you change once you moved out and got a place of your own?
Towels — I wish I had a video of this, but the way I was taught to fold towels is not the way my husband folds them. He has converted me to his way, and the way he pairs his socks. We now fold them in half long ways... I was taught to fold them in half the other way. Does that even make sense?
Lawn Services — have you seen all the unique names these companies have come up with. I mean, how many different ways can you use the word "green" in a title. Green Envy, Mighty Green Lawn Care, Green Care, Green Turf — the list could go on and on. My question is... what would you name your lawn service if you had one?
Our weekend was pretty laid back. The weather made relaxing our top priority.
Friday night's dinner was a little random. I watched Food Network cupcake wars and their inspiration was school lunch items... one look at those tater tots had me wanting them asap. Of course we already had chicken out to make fried chicken. We had a combination of food that I've never served before — fried chicken and tater tots on the fancy dixie paper plates!
Saturday the Mr had to meet a client so I hung out with a blanket in my pjs and watched more Food Network. Thankfully none of the items cooked on the show made an impact on my stomach. Once he got home after lunch, we took to our desired areas in the living room and napped and watched Extreme RVs. If you haven't seen these massive and exquisite "homes" they show on TV... well, you're missing out. We ended the evening watching UFC fights.
Sunday was an interesting day that ended with us in bed by 7:15. I didn't feel good most of the day so the Mr took care of the laundry, and the cleaning. He's golden y'all... and I'm so thankful for him.
The sun is finally peeking through the clouds today, and I saw that our usual summer temps are coming back towards the end of the week. This isn't what I was hoping for — I was really hoping the cooler temps were here to stay. Oh well... maybe they will be back before we know it.

I use Hellman's mayo ONLY.
ReplyDeleteI also fold towels your way. I'll have to try your Mr.'s way!
You all can throw things at me but... I eat Miracle Whip. Yup. Even though I like mayo better and we buy Hellman's because that's what Andrew likes, I still eat Miracle Whip. Habit? Slightly less fatty? Now I will contemplate that.
ReplyDeleteMy lawn care service would be called Cheap & Trustworthy because that's really all I need from them, ha!
I hope you are feeling better!~
ReplyDeleteI fold my towels in thirds long ways then in half. I'm a freaky freak. :)
Isn't interesting how little things like mayo shaped us growing up! I personally don't use much mayo, and I currently have Kraft in my fridge I believe. But Peanut Butter and Ketchup are huge things around here. Jif and Heinz. If I get anything else...I might as well get a divorce! Hahaha!
ReplyDeleteTowels - I have since changed since I got married as well...I like you used to fold long ways, now I do it in half.
Lawn Service - FUNNY that you mention that...I just saw a truck in our neighborhood for Ruby's Lawn. I was very surprised. Bold move!
Hope you are feeling better today! Hopefully the extra sleep helped you out!
Mayo - I grew up on Kraft but have switched to Hellman's. I really like Miracle Whip but the hubbs doesn't. I'm like you Jessica, when it cones to ketchup and PB I ONLY buy Heinz and Jif. Used to use Peter Pan but switched to Jif because that's what Costco carries. Towels - I fold my towels in half and then half again then fold over one-third and then one-third again. Lawn service - Don't know what I would call it. Mine here at my house is called Southern Spray. Joy I absolutely love reading your blog. We love Food Network shoes too! Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteMeant to say "shows" not "shoes"!
DeleteHa! I love these random thoughts. I use Dukes mayo because that's what my mother always used. Mr was used to Miracle Whip, so we have to have both lol
ReplyDeleteI watched so much TV this weekend. I must to have been watching the Food Network with you all weekend!
I'm with you...please come back cool weather!!! It just made me so much happier ;)
