The day we found out...

In case you missed our announcement, we're excited and blessed to share our news of a little Sowell coming soon. And below is the recap of the day we found out...

Monday afternoon on July 1st, I decided to make a quick run to CVS because I "just had a feeling" that I needed to buy a pregnancy test.

After taking a regular and a digital test, I started crying tears of joy, but the only words that parted my lips were "thank you, thank you, thank you — thank you for this gift Heavenly Father." I immediately went in our future nursery and sat in our glider and said a prayer of thanks, and cried some more.

Somehow I pulled it together before the Mr came home from work. I was calm, cool and collected as I sat in the recliner watching him make this normal trip to our master bedroom to put his keys, wallet and wedding band in the same spot since we moved here. Only this time, there was a surprise for him  — two positive pregnancy tests.

He immediately came to me and asking was it true. And of course all I could do was smile.

At our last follow up appointment from our first pregnancy, our Dr told us to call her as soon as we got a positive test. So, I had already called and was waiting on them to return my call before the Mr came home. The nurse ended up calling me back the following morning to schedule blood work.

We both went to bed smiling, and joyful — yet at the same time scared, too. That night our prayers changed from asking God to bless us with a child to thanking Him for His gift to us.

Of course the past two months have been full of Dr appointments and lots of prayers, and I'll fill y'all in on all those details soon.

We want y'all to know that we appreciate all the sweet words of congratulations, encouragement and the love and prayers. We've definitely felt your love.
