Friday Five — link up #42

Here's a look back at our week for today's edition of the #fridayfive!

the Sowell life's Friday five... 

1) {Avery Claire} The best part of this week was seeing out little girl on the screen kicking and wiggling around, and finding out that everything is perfect with her and that it's a HER! And yes, that is our little one about to suck her thumb in my belly!

2) {All Things Girlie} I've never been a fan of the color pink. But I couldn't help but buy something pink for her while I was out shopping yesterday. I don't like the color pink on me, but I know that she will look adorable in anything.

3) {Enjoy, Relax and Stop Worrying} Most of you know our story with our first pregnancy, and we truly know that this pregnancy and this little girl is a gift from above, and we are very thankful for this gift. However, this pregnancy has had me in constant worry and fear about every three days or so. While we haven't had any complications with this pregnancy, it hasn't stopped me from worrying. I know that He has everything under control and I pray everyday that He will take that worry, doubt and fear away from me. Well, at our appt on Wed., the Dr informed me that my blood pressure was pretty high and we started talking about what could be causing it. She immediately told me that it's time to stop the worrying, and enjoy and relax. She said this is the best part of your pregnancy, and you need to take in every moment of it. I went back yesterday for a recheck of my BP and it was back to normal. However, the nurse gave me a talking to and informed me that she understood where I was coming from, but I needed to shake my fear and enjoy the ride. So that's what I am trying to do — stay calm, relax and enjoy! Pray for me that I can do this!

4) {She's Already a Movie Star} We were told to bring a DVD to the appt on Wed. so we could take it home and watch it over and over again. And, I'm so happy we have this DVD. The Mr and I watched it last night, and we saw so much more than we saw on Wed. (I think we were looking at each other and talking to her when we missed some of it.) And we get to show it to our families this weekend in Mdn. I can't wait for them to check out Miss Avery Claire, and see how active she is. Maybe I can figure out how to load it on here one day next week. That is if anyone cares to stare at our little movie star.

5) {An Unwelcome Visitor} This might come to a shock to most of you, but we aren't really cat people. The Mr is severely allergic to them, so we never surround ourselves with them. Well, we had a little visitor sleeping on our back covered deck yesterday morning. And when she heard me in the kitchen... she came to the back door and starting meowing. She wanted in. She had a collar on, but she kept pawing at me for me to check it out. About 3 hours later, she went on her way. I just hope she finds her way back home because when MB comes back to visit — having a cat for a visitor will NOT fly with her! Ha!
