Loaded Mashed Potatoes {Recipe}

Wednesday, October 2, 2013

Y'all have seen me post photos on instagram of my loaded mashed potatoes, and you've probably read about me making them almost once a week. Well, today I'm going to give y'all the info you want to know how I make them. And yes, most of you are going to kick yourself because it's so easy, and yet you think they are the best thing I make.

One thing I don't do is measure when it comes to making my loaded mashed potatoes. But, I'm going to try and list some kind of recipe for y'all to follow.

Depending on how many people I'm cooking for depends on how many potatoes I use. So this recipe is what I cook for the Mr and I...

3 or 4 medium to large white potatoes
2 tablespoons of butter
1/2 to 3/4 cup of sour cream
1/4 sharp cheddar cheese
salt and pepper to taste

I peel and cut my potatoes and boil them until tender. Drain the water and then pour in a mixing bowl and add the butter, sour cream and cheese. With a hand mixer, I blend all the ingredients with the potatoes until little to no lumps. Then pour your potato mixture in a baking dish already sprayed with Pam, and bake for 15-20 minutes on 350 degrees.

See, I told y'all it was easy. Let me know if you make them. I've heard people substitute greek yogurt for the sour cream. I haven't tried that yet, but I might one day. Y'all enjoy!

  6. Honey, please stop eating all of those carbs - your baby is depending on you to eat healthy food - grass-fed meat, wild Alaskan salmon, organic green vegetables, fruits, nuts and good oils like coconut oil.

    1. Faun, I would have emailed you personally, but you are a no comment blogger. I appreciate your concerns, however, I am getting those healthy foods that my Dr and I have talked about.
