Advice — Baby Bag

Saturday, November 2, 2013

Okay ladies... I've heard that choosing your baby's diaper bag is pretty important. I'm pretty sure I'll be hanging up my Hobo bag when she arrives and will not only be using her baby bag for her things, but mine as well.

So I need your help. Where did you find your favorite baby bags?

One that I have found online, and like is the Vera Bradley bag.

But, if I'm gonna pay $75... I want it to be the right bag.

Y'all haven't failed me yet with your advice... so I'm hoping y'all can give me a site where you purchased your baby bag that you absolutely love.

  1. I love that bag. You're definitely right about it becoming your purse as well as for the baby. I would make sure it has easy access pockets to put your keys/phone for when you're trying to unlock the car and get the baby in. I have a Kalencom bag and love it. I wish it had a little more room though. A friend of mine has this Vera bag and she loves it.

  2. I used a large Vera Bradley tote in a pattern I liked. Then bought the bottle carrier and makeup bag to go with it. The makeup bag was my diapers/wipes case. I loved it and still do since now that Aubrey is done with diaper bags, I still use it as a purse/bookbag/ tote and makeup case. Personally, this option gave me a lot of space that I didn't get with a covered top and let me carry tons of stuff all at the same time. P.S. I love the pattern on that diaper bag.

  4. I won't admit how many diaper bags I had. Too many cute ones and purses/bags are my downfall. I prefer the ones that can be washed, or wiped...things happen - and I liked to be able to clean up the things that happened! I will suggest asking Terry to pick out a "manly" bag. For the times when he will have Miss Avery! Also, while I am thinking about it - put diapers and a change of clothes in the car at all times. You never know. Seriously...

  6. I have the Vera Bradley Make a Change and Backpack diaper bag. I love them both but I really love the backpack. The backpack is so easy to put on and not worry about it falling off your shoulder.

  7. For my first daughter, I had a Vera Bradley diaper bag tht I loved. There's a Vera Bradley outlet store in orlando that I bought mine from. You might be able to have it shipped to you if you call them. For my second daughter, I knew I was going to have a ton of stuff to tote with them being 15 months apart. For Christmas, I asked for the stork sack Tania b. bag in granite and I freakin' love it, but now tht both kids are getting more mobile, I'm serious leaning towards a back pack. I might be obsessed with the perfect diaper bag.

  9. My friend Jessica always locked her keys in her car. I don't know how she managed it, but she would set them down to get her son out and not put them in her bag, then close the door and oops! I think these days if you have a keyless start car you probably don't have to worry about it, but she swore by a lanyard for her keys. She would put it on her neck until she got her son situated in his stroller or carrier and then she would take them off when she remembered and put them in her bag. She said they were easier to find and grab when her hands were full too. Vera makes matching lanyards. Just saying....
